PLOT : Based on two of Russian writer Gogol's stories, 
it revolves around the relationship between Ganpatrao Turay-Patil and Ganpatrao Moray-Patil, two bachelors 
who are temperamentally and physically each other's opposites, but are inseparable friends since childhood. Covering a span of 20 years, it shows how the two 
friends, who are also next door neighbours have a 
series of arguments over a beautiful old sword which 
Moray possesses and Turay covets. The heated exchanges, fuelled by the village hoodlums, result in 
a court case, which ultimately ruins the friends and 
their friendship, while the troublemakers thrive.

PLOT : The machinations and underhand dealings in 
the cesspool of politics is the backdrop of this movie. It revolves around an on-going game of one-upmanship between the state chief minister and his powerful 
opposition leader. The events relate to current issues 
so much that they start with the collapse of a cessed building, revealing the politician-builder nexus, as well 
as the industrialization of a rural area and the conseq-
uent displacement of villagers, with a large number of players involved, including the honest, anti-establish-
ment cop and nosey reporters. The climax takes place 
at the chief minister's daughter's wedding, where all
these threads are woven into a fine web to trap the 
erring politicos.

PLOT : The story revolves around the two worlds 
inhabited by Vasudeo Balwant Thombre, an ordinary 
senior citizen who is an avid reader of crime fiction. 
Living his normal life by day, he is transformed into his fantasy world by night when he imagines himself to be 
a blind industrialist, who is the target of the conspirac-
ies of his near and dear ones. This schizophrenia 
leads to a tragedy in his real life and he ends up in a mental hospital where the psychiatrists try to separate 
the fantasy from the reality so that he can lead his 
normal life once again.
